Registration, Waiver & Studio Policies Package

In consideration of being permitted to participate in dance classes, rehearsals, workshops, performances, competitions, and any related activities offered by Gilea Dance Academy, including use of the Studio's premises and equipment (collectively, the "Activities"), I agree as follows:

Acknowledgement of Risk

I understand that dance and related physical activity carry inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, strains, sprains, joint and muscle injuries, collisions with other participants or objects, and overexertion. I understand these risks cannot be entirely eliminated no matter what care is taken, and I voluntarily choose to participate, or to allow the registered participant to participate, with full knowledge of these risks.

Assumption of Responsibility

I accept responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Activities, including that caused by my own actions, the actions of other participants, facility conditions, or instruction. I understand that Gilea Dance Academy works to maintain a safe environment but cannot guarantee against all risk of injury, and I agree to follow all posted safety rules and instructor directions.

Release and Waiver of Claims

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia, I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Gilea Dance Academy, its owners, directors, instructors, staff, volunteers, and contractors (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, including those arising from the negligence of the Releasees, that I may have in connection with my own participation in the Activities.

Indemnity

I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees from and against any claim, cost, or expense arising out of my participation, or that of the registered participant, in the Activities, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by, and is to be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the Province of British Columbia, and any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Voluntary Participation

I understand that participation is voluntary and that I, or the participant's parent/guardian, may withdraw from the Activities at any time, subject to the Studio's cancellation policy.
