Tuition & Fees

Tuition, registration fees, and any applicable membership fees are due as set out at registration. Enrolment is a commitment for the session or minimum term stated at sign-up.

Fees are based on the class schedule for the session, not on individual attendance, and are not reduced for missed classes except as provided under the Attendance, Make-Up Classes & Absences policy below.

Payment & Non-Payment

Payment is accepted by the methods specified by the Studio at registration. Outstanding fees may result in the Participant being unable to attend class until the account is brought current.

Cancellation, Withdrawal & Refunds

  • A full refund, less a one-time registration fee if applicable, is available up to 24 hours before the Participant's second scheduled class.
  • After the second class, tuition already paid for the current billing period is non-refundable, except where withdrawal is for medical reasons supported by a doctor's note. In that case, a pro-rated refund or credit will be applied from the date the note is received.
  • At least [30] days' written notice by email is required to withdraw a Participant from a class and stop future billing.

Attendance, Make-Up Classes & Absences

  • Make-up classes may be offered for a missed class where the absence is reported to the Studio in advance, subject to space availability. Make-up classes are not guaranteed.
  • For extended absences, tuition continues unless the family chooses to formally drop the class. One month's notice is required to drop a class in accordance with the cancellation and withdrawal policy above.

Code of Conduct

  • All students and families are expected to follow Studio rules, safety guidelines, and instructor directions at all times.
  • Respectful behaviour toward instructors, staff, and other students is required. Behaviour that endangers the safety of others or is disruptive to class may result in the student being asked to sit out and, in serious or repeated cases, removal from the class without refund.
  • Any equipment, mirrors, or Studio property damaged through careless use may be charged back to the responsible family.

Changes to Contact Information

Families are responsible for keeping the Studio informed of any change to their address, phone number, email address, emergency contacts, or payment information.

Policy Changes

Gilea Dance Academy may update these policies from time to time. Where a change materially affects enrolled families, reasonable notice will be given by email or through the Studio's usual communication channel.

By agreeing to these Studio Policies, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them.
