Dance Mix Seasoned Stars Level 3 challenges experienced dancers with advanced choreography, technique, and artistic development. Students deepen their musicality, strength, flexibility, and expressive movement while exploring a wide range of styles. Competitive dance routines are available at this level.
Requirement: Must have completed level 2 or have had previous dance experience. Classes are in Ukrainian, but communication in English is available.
Dance mix helps develop self-confidence, listening skills, and a love of movement from an early age. Level 3 builds on skills learned and continues to challenge the students with more difficult choreography and skills. These classes incorporate elements of:
- Contemporary dance is an expressive style that allows dancers to respond to music, emotion, space, and artistic ideas with fewer rigid rules than classical forms.
- Hip-Hop a dynamic and energetic style of street dance focusing on rhythm, musicality, coordination and expression
- Acro Dance is style that combines classical dance technique with elements of modern and jazz dance, as well as acrobatics and gymnastics. Acro helps develop coordination, body control, flexibility and physical strength.
- Jazz Funk is and energetic and expressive dance style that combines elements of jazz technique with hip-hop rhythms and creative choreography.
- Lyrical Dance Lyrical dance is a gentle, expressive style that helps young dancers connect movement with emotion. It blends simple ballet and jazz foundations.
- Ukrainian Folk Dance is a traditional dance style that reflects the history, culture, and spirit of Ukraine. It is known for its energetic footwork, expressive movements, strong character, and vibrant choreography.
- Stylization blends traditional Ukrainian movements with modern choreography, contemporary technique, and stage interpretation. It preserves cultural roots while presenting the dance in a fresh and artistic way suitable for performances and competitions.
- More high-level routines will be taught to perform at festivals and/or competitions.
NOTE: First class is Friday, September 4th from 6:30-8:00pm. 75 classes are guaranteed.
